Women Empowerment Volunteer Program

The volunteers, who will get involved in our women empowerment volunteer program will have the chance to interact directly with the women and families in an African setting by preparing and coordinating workshops and activities.

The volunteer projects are constantly enriched by the participation and insight of volunteers with a wide range of experience and educational backgrounds. As a participant, you will have the opportunity to try different roles and projects, dependent on your interests and skills.

These women empowerment volunteer projects in Africa do not require specialized skills (although these would be an advantage), and volunteers for both short and long-term placements, are accepted all the year round. Volunteers certainly gain an amazing life experience from their participation in these volunteer projects in Africa.

The first few days of your placement will be orientation and adjusting to African life. After this initial period, your placement work will begin. The type of work at the women empowerment program you are involved with will be dependent on your interests, abilities, level of experience as well as your comfort levels.

Volunteers in Africa working on the women empowerment program are encouraged to share their existing knowledge and skills with the women on the project. Volunteers can lead workshops in business skills, IT, administration, financial literacy, people management and customer care. You can offer counseling, information on reproductive health or help with the harvest of cash crops or you can just join the girls in their sports activities.
